Well, that one I don't expect to go hand's off (no - install).
You don't? Uhm. Well, when I do that, I get the installation program.
Also with "-v", there's no mentioning of the rules file:
{0} ok boot net -v - install
The -v doesn't help
Yep, figured that out myself as well :)
(it just shows more messages during the kernel's
module load phase. That's over long before the installer begins). But
with the - install on the end I'm guessing this should work.
No.
Can you
confirm the same thing happens with "boot net - install"?
Confirmed.
Search complete.
Discovering additional network configuration...
Die Systemidentifikation wird abgeschlossen...
And it should look for rules.ok right here.
/Should/ :)
If "boot net - install"
doesn't work, then I'm wondering if the installer is bombing out on
something due to the German locale... Can you try the installation using
the "C" locale?
Will do so. I used Argos sysidcfg file from <news:482d1c95$0$189$bb624dac@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>,
after having changed root password.
Any changes in behavior?
Stuff's displayed in English :) But I guess that's not what you
wanted to know, is it?
Seriously, no, no change in behaviour; still the normal installer
comes up.
Can you bring up a separate window while it asks you a question?
How? I'm connected over the RSC.
The first "question" it asks, is:
Solaris-Installationsprogramm
Das Solaris-Installationsprogramm ist in mehrere kurze Abschnitte
unterteilt, in denen Sie Angaben fr die Installation machen mssen. Am
Ende jedes Abschnitts knnen Sie die vorgenommenen Auswahlen ndern, bevor
Sie fortfahren.
ber Navigation...
F2_Weiter F6_Hilfe
You know, the first screen. Where it tells you that the mouse
can't be used and that you have to hit F2 or use <ESC> combinations.
Could you, or anyone else, please be so kind and provide a working
example of how to setup a custom jumpstart server? I DID read the
documentation, but it seems like I was not able to "compile" that
into a working configuration.
