I think you are missing -s options (location where you tell to
setup_install_server script put solaris installation files)
I doubt it. Unless you are using a separate boot server, supplying -s
is probably the wrong thing to do. It's more likely that you'll get the
path wrong.
can't forward with switch DCHP helper option. Of course is it possible
add jumstart required options to DHCP server, but dhcp booting doesn't
work with older hardware.
My be try change names to IP's (sys01.unx <> 10.0.1.x)to find nfs shares:
The OP's problem is not finding the rules.ok file (or not looking for
it). That's normally handled by the correct boot option and the
install_config directory handled with the '-c' option.
./add_install_client -e 00:03:ba:12:d3:04 \
-c 10.0.1.x:/data/software/solaris/Solaris10/U5/jumpstart/jumpstart \
-p 10.0.1.x:/data/software/solaris/Solaris10/U5/jumpstart/sysidcfg/sys02 \
sys02 sun4u
Will try that, but I doubt that it makes a difference - after all,
the sysidcfg file and also the plain normal installation files (the
one from the Solaris_10 directory on the "DVD") can be read just fine.
.....
I used IPs, and it makes no difference. Well, yes, it made a difference:
Attempting to configure interface eri0...
Configured interface eri0
NFS compound failed for server 10.0.1.21: error 5 (RPC: Timed out)
NFS compound failed for server 10.0.1.21: error 5 (RPC: Timed out)
Setting up Java. Please wait...
So there was a time out. But it seems like it recovered from that.
try change sysidcfg simpler:
I used your example and it made no difference.
