I´m having problems in a Solaris printer queue.
When a job is sent to this printer, it´s duplicated or triplicated.
Can you help me ?
Is a good idea issue a lpshut and a lpsched to stop and restart
lpsched deamon ?
It's very likely the printer queue is configured on the Solaris
machine as a "remote printer", but since the printer is attached
directly to the network, it needs to be the "network printer"
configuration.

If you can post the answers to these questions, we can help you
get the printer queue configured properly:

What is the manufacturer and model name/number of the printer?

What output do you get when you type this command:

lpadmin -lp printer-name

(replace "printer-name" with the name of the printer queue)

Thank you for the answer. After a firmware upgrade in a Ricoh printer
everything is working fine.
But I'd like where could I get all information about Solaris printing
service.
The best place to start is docs.sun.com! Follow the links to the Solaris version of your choice. S8, S9, and S10 are available and perhaps earlier versions as well.

When it's working...

Tried to find info in the sysadmin documents recently. Seems all the documents had been removed. I guess it was a transitory thing, but the consensus in this group that, sigh, it's just the same shit on a different day.

Surprising that the company that claims "the network is the computer" can't seem to get their network services to be stable (e.g. docs.sun.com and sunsolve).
