They changed something in U6, something very fundamental to
the installation process.  It simply will *not* install on as
many platforms as it previously did in U5.  From what I can
tell, it's giving a lot of people heartburn.

If that is the issue (I still think it's the BIOS settings), installing
U5 then Live Upgrade to U6 (and ZFS boot) would be the way to go.

I changed the Operating Mode to ATA and it did not work. I will try U5
tomorrow.

But NIC does not work.  The NIC is Broadcom 57XX Gigabit Integrated
Controller. Went tohttp://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/downloaddrivers.php
downloaded all kinds of drivers and either one of them works.  HCL
shows that the NIC works for U6.  The laptop has only one disk and the
whole disk is Solaris partition.  Does anybody have a LiveUpgrade
procedure?
