how to re-read a partition table on Solaris?

Software: Solaris 10, hardware: Sun x4150/x4170 with hardware RAID card.
I have a somewhat strange problem.

I am performing a Custom Jumpstart installation of Solaris using custom
written install script.
During the execution of this script, a RAID 1 volume is automatically
created (using "raidctl") out of the two disks in the server before the
system begins installing.

However, creation of the RAID volume changes the disk geometry visible by
the system. If the new geometry becomes inconsistent with the partition
table that was on the disk AT BOOT TIME (in my case, initially there was a
single Solaris partition on the disk that spanned the whole disk and had
17847 cylinders, while after creation of the RAID volume the system sees
the disk as having only 17840 cylinders), this results in strange
error message being displayed by Solaris installer (something about boot
device being not set in BIOS) - although the installation itself is
performed correctly.

I think these messages appear because the system is still using the old
partition table, which it keeps in memory. I could be probably able to get
rid of these error messages if I could force the system to re-read the
partition table from the disk after the RAID volume is created. Is there
any way to do this in Solaris?
