I have two files on my rpool that is corrupted and scub will not fix it.
What is stored in /platform/i86pc/archive_cache/kernel/drv ?
It's a cache of compressed driver files for the boot archive.
You can remove /platform/i86pc/archive_cache and rebuild your boot-archive.
rpool/ROOT/solaris@install:/platform/i86pc/archive_cache/kernel/drv/myri10ge
rpool/ROOT/solaris@install:/platform/i86pc/archive_cache/kernel/drv/zfs
Can I remove these files or?
Yes. Then you need to "bootadm archive"
# bootadm update-archive
Since you see these issues with file created when the boot-archive is createdIts a AMD with two Crucial SSD as root disk connected to a onboard SATA, the other disks is via two LSI 8 ports adapters.
and the fact that the boot archive is often created just when the system goes
down, there might be an issue in syncing the disk before rebooting.
What type of hardware (disks/controller), etc?
Casper
BTW, did you see mypost above regarding format output issues? any comment on that?
