disk wiping - "corrupt label wrong magic number"

As a disk wiping procedure we run "format-analyze-verify" on disks (in fact three times).
I've noticed that typically the f-a-v will pass through fine, but complete with an error
"Corrupt label; wrong magic number"
Is this anything in particular to be concerned about? Typically the disks get re-used in another system somewhere
cheers
