Hello,
I was wondering if anyone out there restored a 5.1X cluster from
just a cd and backup tapes?
Here is my configuration:
One 2 node cluster with a mirrored CFS disk.
I was able to sucessfully restore the boot partition for one member,
didn't try the other, and restored cluster root, var and usr. When I
boot up in single user mode from my restored member boot disk it gets
to the point to where it tries to mount cluster root, var, and usr,
then just hangs. I believe that the only thing I'm missing is the CNX
partition on member boot disk. If there is anyone that can tell me
how to modify that information to just look for 1 drive instead of an
LSM mirror and restore it when just booted from the cd I would
appreciate it. If that is not possiable, is there a way in which you
can boot from the restored member boot disk and get a prompt before
the CFS disk attempts to be mounted?
With 4.0F, and mirrored system disks along with TruCluster sever
this was easy but I've been working on this restore procedure for
about 25 hours now and am no closer then I was after hour 2.
Thanks in advance for any help.
