    Hello,
I am looking for some information regarding tar on a digital unix machine.

i have a regular tape coming in from a supplier with a "tar"-ed
information on it. It is created on a digital Unix (DEC) box, to a DDS
tape. I have a DDS tape drive to read it on a linux boxand in the past i
have been able to read it with Gnu tar, but for some reason i can't
    anymore.

I wonder if there somebody can point me to a location where i can download
the source files for the tar version dunning on a DEc box(which is not Gnu
    Tar!).

I can't get my suppliers to install the gnu tar version next to the
digital version (Should be very simple).

    Kind regards,

    Andre
