FTP/RCP Problem

Here is a strange one, I have two ES40's on the same network, but for
some reason I cannot keep a ftp or rcp session up. I have tried to get
& put to both boxes from a SUN box and a Windows workstation and both
work fine no problem but as soon as I try this between the two Alpha's
I receive a connection reset message.

I try to use FTP to the local sun box and I was able to put and get a
19 meg file in 30 seconds.
 
The only time I have a problem is between the 2 compaq computers. It
takes forever and eventually says:
 
netin: Connection reset by peer
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection
 
And only 5840 bytes are transfered of the 19 meg.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
