Hello,
I am looking to improve the performance of my 500AU workstations
slightly. Now that prices have dropped etc I am thinking of two
options.
a) upgrade the cpu from 500mhz to 600mhz (the chipset says it supports
that change).
b) add the cache module to the motherboards.
What would see the best improvements in performance. Some resources say
that the cache would and others say the cpu upgrade. depending on the
applications running. The systems are being used as web servers db
servers and a few desktops.
They are all running Tru64.
Regards,
Johhny,
