Hello,
I have recently been working on my system. I was working on removing
some of the rc3.d scripts from starting (i initially just deleted
them). I have since found that it broke a few things ;) and Ive
relinked alot of the startup scripts back into place. One thing thats
happened since then is this error when I try and login with SSH
Can't find an OSF-BASE, UNIX-WORKSTATION, or UNIX-SERVER license PAK
It lets me login but that message gets scrolled across the console.
I have gone into lmf and deleted all of the licenses and reinstalled
them (non-commercial licenses in this case) using the sysman utility.
it then requests that you reset the lmf details when I goto exit the
sysman utility. That all works I can then login with SSH and not have
the error on the console. However after I reboot the system I find that
the error messages then begin again.
However after the reboot I cannot login with SSH.
Here is a list of the services in /sbin/rc3.d that Ive currently got
setup.
ls -al /sbin/rc3.d

I am not really sure what services are needed for the licensing. Im
still learning how the whole operating system fits together.
Can anyone give me further information so that I can try and resolve
this issue without a nice reinstall ;0
Thanks
J
