ipf + tru64 5.1B

    Hello,

    I have recently attempted to install ipf (
    http://coombs.anu.edu.au/~avalon/ip-filter.html ) from source on my
    Tru64 5.1B system. It all appears to have gone through without a hitch
    (no errors) except when I try and do anything it says that cannot open
    file. I then go and have a look for the files (/dev/ipl etc) and none
    of the devices exist.

    I tried to do a ./MAKEDEV ipl and it failed.

    I am not really sure what to do. Ive had a look through the ipf mailing
    lists but cant find any references that would give me any indication as
    to what Ive done wrong or need to do.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
